Stephanie S. Davis, MSHA, RN, CNOR, CSSM serves as the Vice President of Surgical Services for HCA Healthcare, a large hospital corporation located in Nashville, Tennessee with approximately 185 hospitals and 128 surgery centers. In her role as the surgical service line leader, Stephanie cultivates surgical strategies and solutions across the enterprise with an emphasis on sharing best practices. Stephanie received her undergraduate degrees from Youngstown State University in Ohio and her Master of Science in Health Services Administration from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois. She has been a perioperative nurse for over 25 years, with roles ranging from staff nurse to the Director of Surgical Services. Stephanie has two national perioperative certifications. She has been a CNOR for the past 28 years and obtained her CSSM certification in 2015. Stephanie served on the planning committee for OR Manager from 2012 to 2015. Stephanie was elected to the AORN Board of Directors for a two year term in 2013. She was election to the National Office of Treasurer for AORN in 2015 and served for two years. In 2017, Stephanie was elected the National AORN President Elect and completed her presidency in April of 2019. During her presidency Stephanie presented at international nursing conferences in China, Australia, and Japan and represented periOperative nurses at the American Nurses Association and at the American College of Surgeons. Stephanie has served AORN in many capacities from being a local chapter President to being a member or the board liaison to the following national committees, task forces, and assemblies: Audit and Finance, Environment of Care, Retired Nurses, Education, RNFA, and Leadership.
