Ms. Walczak MSN RN NE-BC received her graduate degree from the University Of California San Francisco School Of Nursing with a focus in Nursing Administration in 2002. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Kent State University in northern Ohio. Susan possesses human resources expertise and clinical and management expertise in critical care and perioperative services and is certified as a Nurse Executive from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Susan is employed as the Talent Acquisition Lead Consultant in Human Resources at UCSF Medical Center. Susan's oversight includes nursing recruitment and collaboration with the Institute for Nursing Excellence to coordinate special projects such as the New Nurse Residency Training Programs, Career Development Training Programs and RN Re-Entry programs. She is actively involved in the shared decision making structure for the Department of Nursing as a member of the Coordinating Council and the Professional Development Council. Susan is an active member of the Association of CA Nurse Leaders (ACNL). She is an active member of the UCSF Nursing Alumni Association and is a former Board member and Officer (Secretary, Vice President). Susan is Past President and Executive Board member of the Alumni Association of UCSF (AAUCSF) as well as Chairperson for the 2012 Alumni Weekend event. She has also served as a member and officer (former Vice President) of the Northern California Association of Healthcare Recruiters.
