Dena Salamon, MSN, RN, is the nurse manager of the Digestive Disease Surgical Institute at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus. She has extensive experience as an OR staff nurse in the areas of cardiac, plastics, general and colorectal surgery. She is also experienced in both the acute care and ambulatory settings. The department she oversees includes 63 employees, both registered nurses and surgical technologists. The subspecialties she is responsible for managing include hepatobilary, abdominal organ transplant, bariatric, endocrine, breast, acute care, colorectal, and abdominal wall reconstruction (hernia). These subspecialties span over 15 operating rooms. Dena has been employed within the Cleveland Clinic Health System for 21 years and has spoken at one national conference.
