Tracy Diffenderfer, RN, BSN, MSN, CNOR is an Administrative Director of Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. She oversees all OR areas with numerous specialties including Neurosurgery, Cardiac, Orthopedics, ENT, Plastics, Ophthalmology and Sports Medicine. Tracy works on numerous committees for the hospital including Quality and Safety, Nursing Leadership Board, Medical Economic and Outcomes Committee, TOSHA Waiver Committee, and the Magnet Steering Committee. She has also served as a Manager, Nurse Educator, and Nursing instructor. She enjoys developing and directing high performance teams that demonstrate strong outcomes. She graduated from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa Oklahoma with a B.S.N. and obtained her Masters of Nursing Administration from Tennessee State University in Nashville Tennessee. She has always believed that nursing is an exceptional profession that allows young men and women to develop many skills and interests while serving the community. She is passionate about developing the next generation of great nursing leaders. She is a member of AORN, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Nashville Symphony Council, the Antique Automobile Club of America, and has served on several non-profit boards. She volunteers actively for numerous organizations in the community. She lives with her wonderful husband Tim, and has two college age children in Mount Juliet, Tennessee.
