Michelle Rabelo is the Nurse Manager for the Endoscopy Center at Tampa General Hospital. In her role she provides management, leadership, and oversite of a 16,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art Endoscopy Center and centralized processing room. With more than 34 years of healthcare experience, she has served in roles from staff nurse, Clinician, Divisional Educator, and Nurse Manager. Her professional insight includes nursing leadership and management in the ever-changing environments of Endoscopy, Bronchoscopy, Interventional Procedures, and Radiology. Michelle has her Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management and is a Certified Radiology Nurse. She holds several professional accolades including Divisional Nurse of the Year, Magnet Ambassador, and Presidents Award nominee. Michelle has a passion for education and has presented at several local workshops and national conferences on operational best practices & patient safety. Michelle has been published in the Association of Radiologic Nursing Vision and has participated as an author/co-author on several process improvement projects. Michelle lives in Tampa, Florida with her husband. She spends her free time outdoors on her small ranch, walking her dogs, and riding her horse.
