Shawn is the Vice President, Consulting for Hospital IQ. Shawn is a Registered Nurse, BSN prepared, with her MBA and has more than 30 years combined clinical and consulting experience. Her expertise includes healthcare administrative leadership, clinical transformation, process redesign, quality improvement and cost structure improvements in Surgical, Emergency, Endoscopy, Critical Care, Anesthesia services and Care Coordination in a variety of healthcare provider settings. Shawn, a former Executive Administrator of Nursing, has a strong practical and theoretical foundation in improving productivity, restructuring of clinical systems, clinical documentation, clinical operations, problem solving, communication, and physician relation skills. Prior to joining Hospital IQ, Shawn was a Director at Price Waterhouse Coopers' Health Advisory practice where she led operational and financial improvement engagements at a number of health systems Shawn recently has been leading large system clinical operations engagement and process redesign projects at prominent national hospitals and hospital systems. These experiences have given Shawn appreciation of the challenges providers face in effectively managing their operations, which she brings to her current role consulting and client support with hospitals and health systems to operationalize advanced analytics into management decisions, and collaboratively developing goals, metrics, and tactics to improve performance.
