Hope Johnson DNP, MBA, RN, CNOR, NEA-BC is currently the Director of Perioperative & Endoscopy Services at Lehigh Valley Health Network's Cedar Crest Campus and Director of Perioperative & Endoscopy Services at the hospital's Muhlenberg Campus. Her responsibilities include management of a $70M expense budget and nearly 350 FTEs, along with managing the operations of 32 ORs, 60 PACU bays, and several preoperative and endoscopy suites, across 2 campuses. Hope has been with LVHN since 2003, where she started her career as a Registered Nurse in the OR on the Cardiothoracic Team. She became the educator for the Operating Room and the OR Internship Program. She was promoted to Director of the OR and Sterile Processing in 2010 and soon had her scope of responsibilities grow to add the Preoperative Staging, PACU, and Endoscopy Lab Areas. Most recently, Hope has taken over responsibility for one of the health network's community hospitals. Hope is a published author and has presented several oral and poster presentations across the country at National Nursing Conferences. She completed her MSN in 2006, MBA in 2017, and Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Executive Leadership in 2016, all at DeSales University. Her doctoral studies focused on surgical cost per case and innovation in the healthcare industry. Hope has been involved in several successful initiatives within her hospital, including launching an intraoperative family communication system, several construction projects, creative staffing programs, including creation of a Perioperative Float Pool, and expansion of the robotic surgery network within her organization. When not working, Hope enjoys spending time with her two children, Chace and Charlotte, and actively participating as a swim and lacrosse mom. She is an avid NFL football fan - Go Panthers - and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
