Nicole Sartori is a Clinical Education Specialist for Surgical Services at UnityPoint Health Des Moines. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing Education and is a certified nurse in the operating room (CNOR). Nicole is a resource and mentor to Unit Based Educators in the departments she serves, as well as, a track leader for the surgical services nurse residency track. She is an instructor of Just Culture Training for Managers, Preceptor Workshop: RN Leadership Development, and a series of perioperative classes for new staff. Nicole is an active member of the Nurse Quality Improvement Committee and leads the Surgical Services Quality Improvement Committee. Before starting her work as a Clinical Education Specialist she worked as a staff nurse in the operating room on the cardiovascular team for twelve years. She then served as the Unit Based Educator for two years acting as a staff resource, providing ongoing education, and serving as the orientation leader for nurses and techs in the OR. When not at work, Nicole enjoys yoga, running, and planning adventures with her family.
