Janet is a personable and knowledgeable veteran Nursing Director with more than 30 years nursing experience (25 years in Perioperative leadership / management roles). In her current position as Nursing Director of Post-Anesthesia Care at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA, she manages four individual PACU's in two buildings over three floors. Construction is underway to open two additional units. She is responsible for 225 staff divided into three specialized nursing teams, all skilled to work in any of the four units. Janet has presented at OR Manager on various topics such as: Regional Block Program, Ambulatory Surgery, IV Procedural Sedation, and PACU management. She has also consulted in China to open PACU.
